high altitude

i have never baked before in high altitude. i will be at 9,000 feet this christmas and need to know if i need to change my recipes. if any of you have any good recipes for me i'd love to have them. we will be in the mountains of idaho with 5 kids and i want to make some memories for my 5 step-kids...thanks

When I lived in Colorado Springs I baked a cake not knowing there was a difference and it did not turn out right. I dont know if you bake from scratch or box but the directions on the box are different for higher altitudes.

Here are some tips from the Betty Crocker site about baking and cooking above 3,500 feet.  Also, here's some info on cooking/baking specific foods at high altitude.  I hope this helps!
