My dd's birthday is coming up. One of her friends does not eat anything that comes from an animal. What can i use in place of eggs in a cake mix?

I use this as an egg substitue.....mix it together in a small bowl and then add it to your cake mix.
1 1/2 tablepoons water
1 1/2 tablespoons oil (I use coconut oil, but you can use whatever you like)
1 teapsoon of baking soda
Flax seed can be used as a substitute. I have never tried it though. Here is link on how to do it.
Pureed Fruit As Egg Substitute
Egg Substitute:
Pureed Fruit:Mashed bananas, unsweetened applesauce, pureed prunes, plumped raisins and softened dates are some of the ways how pureed fruits can be used as an egg substitute.
How to replace?
1/4 cup for each egg. Increase leavening by 25-50%. Bake items slightly longer, if necessary.
Best Suitable For:
Cakes | Quick Breads | Brownies |

I've done the pureed fruit substitution that Heather suggested, and it works really well. I used applesauce, but as her post says, you can use other pureed fruits.
