What is an Indigo?


Indigo children are said to be highly intuitive, in fact they are often referred to as psychic children, however they are so much more. Although much of the information available about “indigo” children is fairly consistent, people’s personal definitions of this concept vary widely.

Most people who have worked with children in a professional setting or have children of their own, have noticed a certain group of characteristics which seem to display together in some children. Some of these characteristics include: creativity, high energy, hypoglycemia, nonconforming behaviors, physical and emotional sensitivity, and intuitive nature. When we refer to the term “indigo”, we are referring to the children and adults who have these characteristics.

Indigo-bright, intuitive, strong-willed, and sometimes self-destructive. They are often labeled (and misdiagnosed) as having ADD or ADHD because they won't comply with established rules and patterns, and they may exhibit behavioral problems at home and at school.

Crystal-like indigos are highly psychic and sensitive but without the dark edge and anger energy. One look in their eyes and you can see Divine love and wisdom. Their auras are bright, radient, and opalescent-they seem to glow from the inside. They talk about past lives, distant galaxies, and profound insights concerning peace and love.
