will be the top 5 baby names (boy and girl) of 2009??

the top 5 of each sex this year are:
boys.
1 jacob
2 micheal
3 ethan
4 joshua
5 daniel

girls.
1 emma
2 isabella (some serious twilight fans out there *giggle)
3 emily
4 madison
5 ava

what will stay, what will move up and what might pop up thats new to the top 100?!?! any guesses

I an thinking Ethan and Jacob will deffinatly stay in the top and along with ava, isabella and emma staying! As far as move ups chloe, ella, grace those real simple pretty names. not sure about boy move ups. I am sure we will see more Aiden, Hayden, Zaden, Ragan ect names also!

I agree with you, we probably wil see more Hayden, Aiden, Gavin, and Regan type names this year... it seems like they are very popular!

I am expecting to see some movement from Cullen and Edward as well (due to twilight) I don't expect to see them in the top 10, but they will make a noticable impact.

I think Aiden will see a definite jump. Technically speaking it was the number one name last year...but because people spell it so many different ways it wasn't listed as being that popular. But I'm guessing that will change.

As for girls I think the whole Kaylee thing will continue to rise. I still don't get the fascination with this name or this style of name but we shall see. Also the "lyn" names...I'm sure they will be on the rise as well because people are going to be trying to find more ways to be "unique" in their naming.
