50 States Name Game

If you had to name your child after one of the 50 states, which would it be?

Tennessee could be kind of cute for a girl. You could call her Tenny or Nessy. That one isn't too bad.

Montana could be cool for a boy...nn Monty.

I guess if I am thinking about my own child I would probably way Georgia because the nn GiGi is very cute!

I really like Carolina for a girl (though I prefer the spelling Karolina!), Georgia is precious (I would call her George), Jersey is super-cute, and Virginia is fail-proof (and I like the nickname Ginny)...

In the end, I would choose either Georgia or Virginia (because I adore the song "Meet Virginia".

Delaware for a boy, call him Del.

Florida for a girl, call her Flori "Flor-ee".

And since I'm Canadian, I choose...

The northern territory of Yukon, for a boy

The province of Alberta for a girl, maybe call her Ally. :)

So I had to ask my husband because I couldn't pick a state - and he said "If we had to name it after a state, why not just pick all of them and name it America?"

SO...America is my answer :) Lol. If it was a boy, we would be in trouble, but I would think that Wyoming is used too often, so I would choose that as a boy name.
