This kind of goes along with my other post- Sunday-Saturday.
I am wondering if you have ever known anyone that was named after a month? There are alot of great stories as to how we came to name our calendar months, for example here's a website that briefly illustrates: http://www.crowl.org/lawrence/time/months.html
There's many interesting reasons behind why parents choose to name their child after a month.
What do you think about naming a baby after a month and what are some of the names you have ACTUALLY heard someone named and what was their gender?
I like some month names like August, June, May and January
I am not a big fan of some of the others like April, July (maybe), October, December
I just can' see these being used as names February, March, September, October, November.
I think a name like August-Grace or August-Rose is adorable for a little girl. I think I have seen someone on Cafemom use a name like this, so I couldn't take credit for it- but it has always stuck with me.
I like some and don't like others.
November Rose was high on my list of girl names with my first pregnancy, but I had a boy.
My second son was born in May and EVERYONE in my birth month group here on CM that was having a girl was giving their daughter May/Mae as a first or middle name.
I'm not really a fan of the more common month names... April, May, June. But I like names like January, August, September, November, and December..... And I think all except for August sound best for girls. I think August could go either way.

My sister was actually named after January- my mom saw the word Januarie and read it wrong, thinking it was Janmarie... One full name.
I have had a couple girlfriends by the name of April- although the trend shows it is decreasing in popularity. Have heard of many older ladies named May (like Peter Parker a.k.a. Spiderman's grandma), but it didn't make it in the top 1000 names for the last 9 years. However, it places just below at #1021. June just so happened to make it to #863 in 2008... August has climbed up to #482.
I personally think August is a boy's name and kind of like it too... I also like December for a girl and would nn her Dece (like D.C.) or Ember:)
I like the name August for a boy. I think January and November are kind of cute too, but I wouldn't use them for my own child. I don't like April, May or June -- those are the only other ones I think I have heard as names.
Has anyone ever read "The Secret Life of Bees"? In that story, all the sisters were named after months, and their birthday month, they celebrated all month long. I always really liked that =)
That being said, I love month names...as middle names. I like March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, and November. (most of them!)

My name is April & I dont like it at all! I heard all my life where's may & june..and the sad part is that my grandma's name is Charlotte June & goes by June...It drives me nuts my mom wants me to use June for middle name for my daughter...NO way I will use June w/my name being April might have worked if I wasnt April..
