When we chose our sons name, Artem, people thought we were crazy.  No one was familiar with the name.  We heard the name and liked it, but it was very hard finding any information on the name, or if it was an actual name.  Well, today I popped over to the Baby Nam Wizards site and found out, that Artem in an actual name, and in fact is a pretty popular name in the Eastern block.

In Ukraine, Artem was the #1 name given to boys in 2010

In Russia, it was #4 for 2010

In Armenia, it is Artiom, and was number 18.

For some reason this makes me feel better.  Or I should say I feel validated.

Thank you, I wasn't so much worried here, but out in the general population, people are alwasy curious.  I love his name as well.  I am just glad I didn't second guess our choice.
