Do you consider yourself to be a religious person? or, is religion an important part of your life?
My family and I are pretty devout Catholics--although we do not agree with all of the Church's teaching...obviously :-)
I picked other. I go to church but I`m not Christian. Just lonely. I`m a SAHM and it`s nice to talk to other grown ups sometimes.
I`m a witch and my beliefs are very important to me but I don`t do a lot of studying. I preform a ritual every Saturday night with my kids and try to live a good pagan life. Aside from personal spells every now and then, that's about it.

I would have to say some what, I believe in something that keeps me on the straight. I don't go to church though, read the bible or anything that you would consider religious up keeping lol. I respect people, keep my life wholesome enough to not get into trouble. I want to go to church, but not sure where'd I go or we'd go. In a family aspect, my dh has things I don't agree on but we believe in being good people. More me then him at times lol, I have more moral values with certain things. An we balance each other lol.
I am not religios I am agnostic but I consider dh religious because even though he is no longer a practicing member of the LDS church he still believs in their teachings and wants to go back. As far as the kids though my oldest has a different dad and he has gone to church a few times with grandma and does believe in jesus. He is 5 btw. My younger 2 that dh and I have together have never been to church but when they get old enough to understand the concept I do plan on teaching them about all religions minus scientology. I will support them if they go mormon or catholic or whatever, lol!
Me in a nutshell: *Married* *love reading* *hate going to theaters* *wine drinker* *SAHM* *sometimes call my kids by the wrong name* *mom of 3 brats*

Yes, very!! I'm a Southern Baptist..my Pawpaw was a preacher and my daddy is a preacher.
Can I ask how your family reacted to your pregnancy and marriage?
I'm spiritual, not religious.
I am what I like to call an eclectic pagan. Which means I believe in God just not the Biblical version. I believe in spells and magic. I believe that prayers work. I believe that there is both good and evil in the world because you can't know good if you have nothing to compare it to.
I do not believe in being told what to believe which is why I dislike organized religion. It discourages free thought and free will.
Yes and No.
I was raised in a "non-demoniational christian" home and I found what my parents practiced and what the church (we went to) taught to be hypcritical and once I turned 18 I refused to go any more (I was still in HS while 18 cuz my bday is in March BUT I was told I had to pay rent), until that point I, and my sisters, were dragged to church EVERY single Sunday morning, we got nothing out of it even if our parents did. After my father died (which MOST of my family saw as a blessing, but not I or my mother) we changed churches bc my mom couldn't stomach going to the same church "they" used to go to; after about 1mo of that church we switched again and each time we went to a new church I kept finding it's followers hypocritical. Granted, maybe it wasn't the followers but the person viewing them (me) but they ALL seemed to have little cliques and if you didn't fit in w/ANY of those cliques, you didn't fit in.
I sooner or later gave up on churches and it's church-goers altogether. I have never really been a believer of God as I have often questioned why he does certain things and I suppose if I were to read the bible I might understand but for the most part I seem him as no better than a human who wants a servant to worship him and that seems a little self-serving to me.
Instead I try to do what I think is right. I curse a bit, which I was brought up to see as a sin, and I have no problem w/my kids learning it (when they're old enough bc at least from me they can learn when it's OK to use the words and when it's just taking advantage vs learning it at school and having it become part of their hourly vocabulary). I try to help those that need it but honestly if you're smelling of liquor and want some money, I aint giving it to you BUT I will buy you a meal and if you don't want that then you DON'T really need as much help as you think.
I don't agree w/some of what the bible sees as wrong AT ALL. Granted the big ones like murder and adultery are never acceptable, but sometimes you gotta wonder who in the heck came up w/these rules and could THEY even abide by them?!
Sorry! I tend to go off on a tangent when it comes to religion.. I hope I didn't offend anyone and if I did, I'm SO SORRY I didn't mean to.
Not really. Both me and DH are pagan. But I was raised Church of Christ. My dad was a preacher, so I know both sides of the spectrum. I think that all religions are based on the same concept, but paganism is the only one that I have ever found that doesn't have the bigotry, double standard, and hypocrisy in it. It accepts everyone no matter what they do in their spare time. And doesn't try to change them for what THEY think is the righteous way to be.
