Is this just something I will never find?

Since I feel the wedding isn't going to be everything I wanted it to be (lack of money just moved and being pregnant) I am trying to at least make our wedding band special but the rare times I go looking for something it is OUTRAGOUS in price, like over $100 each!  At first I was just thinking simple gold bands engraved, but mine is going to be so thin you can't engrave it (I have very tiny hands and nothing bigger then a 2mm will look good with my engagement ring) so instead I tried looking for maybe a celtic band, with like the celtic knot and those are over $300.  The only thing I am 100% set on is it HAS to be gold, gold is traditional and I don't like silver or white gold and my engagement ring is gold so silver/white gold will look horrible next to it.

Is it just impossible?

Unfortunately gold prices are through the roof right now. Good luck, though.

Yes good luck. When I got married at 17 my MIL said here are 2 sets, pick one. One was gold, one was silver, which I don't care for, I showed my Mom and sister and burst out crying.

It is getting frustrating for me and I am afraid I will have to settle for the simple wedding band which for two will cost $100 to $150 (if he wants the "comfort band" his is $100 and mine cost $50 regardless) I just don't understand how I can find something traditional but yet unique for the same price?  I mean what I am looking at is either 10 carat or 14 carat gold so it isn't like I am looking at gold overlay it is real gold.

Ask a family member if they have old broken gold that you can have and then have it made into what you want.  I took my old engaement ring and band and had it made into a custom band for this engagemnt ring plus the store bought my diamond so I ended up getting paid LOL.  It was only going to cost me 70 dollars though.
