Were you the first pregnant bride in your (close) family?

Like aunts, uncles, first cousins, parents, grandparents, and siblings?

If so, how did they react?

if not, who else?

Not only was I NOT the first, but EVERYONE in my family has been PG at the altar as far as we know...it is kind of a "family tradition", I suppose. I kind of hope that my daughters break the tradition though...

Yes, I was the 1st to be pregnant at the alter in my immediate family! Everyone accepted it though, they all love my husband and welcomed him and my pregnant belly with open arms. We had over 75 people at our wedding and everyone showed nothing but love. It was the best day of my life...

Were you the first pregnant bride in your (close) family? Nope, My mother was a pregnant bride. She was 18. She got married because of me. I got married because I already was marrying him. I was 32.

Family reaction: Well everyone was pretty happy. I'm an only child, so that side wanted a grandchild. The other side wanted a baby girl since everyone else had boys. I was worried my dress wouldn't fit, but I was smart enough to order a much bigger size, just in case I got prego early.

i think I was the first pregnant bride. I know my mom already had me when she met and married my dad, but I think I was the first to waddle down the isle.

I think only my hubby's grandma had a problem because I chose to wear a white dress and veil, although I did not wear it over my face. I mean it wasn't as if I was trying to pretend I was pure LOL. Hubby was my first and only so we didn't find anything wrong with the white gown.

Did they pressure you to give the baby up or to abort? Were you 16 when you got married?

I am the first that i know of. My mom got preg with me at 18 but dad took off on her. I think the same happend to my gma. With society the way it is these days everyone accepted it...most people think it's the "right" thing to do but we didn't do it for our son we did it because we loved eachother and we were planning a wedding anyway but we did it faster because our son was coming and we didn't see a point in having a big expensive wedding when we were going to need things for our baby.
