We all joined this group because we have one thing in common But that one thing is not all we have to talk about in here. So lets all share what we are interested in, our hobbies. The more we have in common the more we have to talk about.
I am an amateur geneologist (sp?) I spend much of my free time working on my family tree and on other people's too (I have a micro-business doing research for people for a small fee). Which means I am only sort-of "amateur" :-)
I enjoy reading and spending time with my kids. I spend about 2 hours a day on cafemom...but mostly reading...not posting. I can actually be quite shy about somethings and quite open and "in your face" about other things.

My husband has gotten really interested in his and my family trees lately. He has traced his roots back to 1010 in Europe.. He actually found out he is related to my dad, which is ironic, cuz I'm adopted and not related to my dad! I thoght it as hilarious!
my interests include: cooking, photography, family tree (at a stand still on it though), reading
I'm from oklahoma. I have lived in the same state all my life. In fact, except for four months, I have lived in the same town my entire life.
And of course I enjoy spending time with my kids. My 20 mo. old has a favorite book she insists on me reading all the time. It's called Pizza Pat. I have most of it memorized...lol.
I tend to stay very busy sahm of my two boys Bane(2) and Slade(1 in September) I also watch my nephew Tait who is 5 months older than my oldest! We love getting out in the sun and playing all day when its not crazy hot! (we live in Corpus Christi, Tx.) My hubby and I love to cook for guest, going to the beach is always a fav, were up for almost anything!!
Let's see, my interests...
Well, I like reading! I'm a major fan of it but only of certain genres; depending on the genre/author I will be willing to try others but don't count on it.. I'm currently trying to make my way through some classics that I have never read. I have finished ALL of Jane Austen's books (except 1 that I've never heard of until recently) and have read 1 Charles Dickens ~ I'm still trying to get through Oliver Twist but it's depressing and hard. I am also reading: Crime and Punishment by Dostoevsky, The Age of Innocence by Edith Wharton, Anna Karennina by Leo Tolstoy & Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackery. I'm also re-reading (for the 3rd or 4th time) a series by my favorite author Terry Brooks (he's a fantasy writer).
I like to write, mainly letters but I also do a bit of journaling. I'm not creative nor imaginative enough to do much beyond that. I like to sew tho I do not actually own a sewing machine so I do it all by hand and therefore do not do it very often. I have been teetering on wanting to learn how to knit but as I'm about 10wks away from having our 2nd child I don't think I'll have much time to learn and/or do it so I'm holding off on that one. I like to cook tho I'm really only good at Italian but I'll try to cook anything. I DO NOT BAKE, I live in Albuquerque, NM and for some odd reason the altitude screws w/me and all things I try to bake (from scratch that is) turns out yucky. BUT if it comes from a box, I'm good! LOL
I like animals! Dogs mostly. Don't get me wrong I like cats and most other animals but I'm partial to, and favor, dogs. I have 2 dogs ~ a mini doxie and a heeler mix. I like to color! LOL It's something I've rediscovered my passion for as we are trying to work w/our 2yo on coloring and learning the names of the colors and to NOT eat them. :o)
I like getting to know people tho at times it may seem like I'm quite Bitchy and NOT nice but I promise that that's only what things appear to be, I am quite a cool person if I do say so myself! I'm fairly diverse in all my likes so I can get along w/a variety of people easily. :o) BUT I promise I'm not conceited! I think I just mananged to come off sounding like it tho!
Anyways, I'll shall stop chatting. I hope I didn't write too much!

Me and my husband enjoy drag racing, physically speaking. Both he and I have matching Model and Make cars. He enjoys his car being turboed while I on the other hand prefer nitrous shots. We do bracket racing during the spring and summer months at our local track. We've won trophies and money doing so.
Hey everyone. I haven't been on here in forever. I'm sorry it's been crazy busy. I have a question though.
I had my son in October of 2009. I had Merina put in I think November. Then I go in December to get it checked to make sure it was all good. Well it ended up going to the back of my uterus and I ended up having to have surgery to have it removed. Well I got my periods back in Janurary of 2010. Then I didn't have one in Febuary at all. Well I took a test in March and it came up positive. But what I don't get is that we didn't have sex at all in January. I don't feel like I am and I've been having my normal symptoms that I get right b4 I start my period. So Im wondering is it possible that I might have been still getting hormonals from the Mirena to make it come up positive. Because the timing to me seems off because I didn't have sex at all in January to get pregnant or to even miss my period in Febuary.
Well, I am a SAHM. I love it! I love to swim, decorate (OMG I love holidays!) and play pirate.. DH and I are in a pirate reinactment group. I am the keeper of records and navigator, DH is the first mate, :-)
Until I got pregnant I was in college for underwater archeology and cultural anthropology, with a minor in english. I quit because I had such bad morning sickness that I missed too many classes. I just havent found the time to go back yet, especially with the new one on the way so soon :-)
