Being read to as a child is an awesome memory for me as a child. It was special time with mommy or daddy, and both of them had their own way of making it wonderful.

Reading to a child is love.

So this week I’m going to celebrate reading! Everyday I’m going to post (on the Chronicles page of justamomha.com) about a book that has been important to Cee or to me, and all of it leads up to a GIVEAWAY!

My friends at Chronicle Books and the creators of the Worst-Case Scenario Blog, have offered me a copy of their book, The Worst Case Scenario Survival Handbook: PARENTING, to share with my readers! Their book is so cute that I couldn’t turn the offer down.

Authors Joshua Piven, David Borgenicht, and Sarah Jordan create a humorous blend of silly and real advice that is sure to make parents smile (I was thinking that this could make a fun gift for an expecting couple too). I’ve been reading through my copy and have enjoyed a good chuckle, but I’ve also had the thoughts, Ooo, I’ve been there, and Wow, that’s a great idea for when Cee is at that stage.

to leave a comment with a favorite childhood book – either from your childhood or that your kids love. The contest will end Friday night at 9 pm central time. I hope to end up with a great book list to share with everyone!
