I am in desperate need of some advice!!  I am about to lose it because my kids keep climbing on the dining room table.  I leave the room for 5 minutes and they are up there!  I have tried time outs in corners, time outs in there beds and now started spanking...which I do not like to do!  But I am at my wits end!!  What am I doing wrong?  UGGHHHHH...I am sooooo frustrated.  I have them in there beds for a time out now, but I know as soon as I let them out they will be right back up there again.  I can't get any housework done anymore.  When I am in the room they are either clinging to me or trying to get in trouble (steal my attention away from the other).  They have plenty of toys to occupy them but they don't even play with them.  Or all the pieces are missing and they can't play with it!!!!  Please help me, I have never since they were born feel more frustrated than I do right now!!!!

We have a counter height table, so the kids can't get up on mine yet!  LOL!  My discipline technique is really about removing things that cause problems repeatedly so I don't have to deal with it.  Can you move the chairs into a corner away from the table and stack them so the trips can't use them to get on the table.  I have a baby gate that I put around things I don't want my kiddos to bother.   Right now, I am sitting behind the gate working on homework, because my kiddos love the computer.

Hope this helps,

My biggest peice of advice is that you be consistant!!!  Also, reward for good behavior.  Unfrotunately, because we are out nimbered, it gets really frusterating!  I would go around the corner and peek...I always had a lagger that took a little longer to decide that he was going to follow the other 2, and I would come around the corner where they were before he could do it and just praise him like crazy for making a good choice and give him something that the other two did not get...it took a while, but it worked...hope that helps!  :)  Hang in there...I promise...it does get easier in many ways!!

Thanks, I think I will try the reward the one with the good behavior as it is rare that they are ALL on the table.  It seems to ALWAYS be my daughter, but then the boys switch it up! lol.  I truely believe my daughter is the instigator and the boys just go along with it.  But they always want what the other one has so I think the reward thing just might work.  Thanks for the advice, I had not thought of that!
