Depends on why, when and with who! Most likely yeah. I wouldn't want the boys to grow up thinking that it was acceptable and therefor the cycle repeating.

Work everyday, be a great Dad to our boys, make a fake egg out of posterboard to be a gift box for me...actually drawing hearts at the end of a note!!

She is totally accepting of me, and is always on my side.

Most of them are pretty easy to be around anymore. The ones closer in my age are probably the easiest.

Most of my Aunts are easy to be around too. I can only think of one that is kind of hard to be around, and that is just because she tends to see everything a little different and complains a lot. Kitty, Margie, Nan and Tonya I have probably spent the most time with.

The older male cousins. I just don't know them as well, and didn't grow up in the same enviroment as they did.

Babs...as already stated. But even with that said..she isn't HARD to be around just harder than the others. Sometimes Nan is a little harder for me, because she has changed so much, and it is hard to see.

You mean I get out of this mess..would I be crazy enough to do it again!?!!? JK....I have no idea. It would all depend if God sent me another man or not. And how comfortable I was with him and my boys. But I do think I would be okay living on my own if not.

My wedding. I would have had pictures, and maybe some more room so I could have gotten to the bathroom! And everyone could have sat down if they wanted to! Who would have thought!?
2. How are you like each of your parents?
Well, the appearance is DEAD ON! LOL! Mom- we tend to see things a lot alike, but so do me and Dad. Mom and I enjoy a lot of the same activities and realize the importance of time alone and togetherness. Reading, computer, shopping, church etc. We both think Carter is a more fun kid to be around, but Davis is easier 'cause he entertains himself!! LOL!! Dad- Dad and I can talk politics and news and family issues and just about always agree. We have a tolerance for doing for others and running/working.
3. If you could change something about your boys what would it be?
I would take away Davis' anxiety and hyper-sensitivity to stimulus-ONLY if it would make him more comfortable. Regardless, I would change his BM schedule to something healthy. For Carter, I don't really know what I would change. I might change that neither of their hair grew as quickly bc hair cuts are a nightmare...or that they couldn't speak during church unless it was to sing or testify!! LOL!!
4. If your parents moved away, would you stay where you are at or follow them?
Heck, if my parents moved away..why would I need to!?! LOL..THESE ARE SO FUN!! JUST KIDDING!! It would just depend. Do I need to follow them? How are things going with Danae? Would it be better for Davis to keep them apart? How is Dad's health? How is Mom handling the move? I like where I live, but I am here for family, not because I love the deer eating my plants and hitting a random squirrel/rabbit weekly in the driveway. Sometimes it would be nice to live where we could make a good living to..where Jason could use his degree and paint, and Davis would have better access to resources. But that is secondary to family..if needed.
5. Name the style of hair that if you could have it you would pick.
Wig. ( I just hate messing with hair period!) I guess straight, black is fine. shoulder-length probably if I didn't have to straighten it.
6, What would you say your decor style is? Messy with some clutter. (I like everything. But I would say that I am contemporary, not modern. Clean lines, but not minimalist. Atleast in the main area here. I tried to keep in "homey" but without it being overbearing)
7. Do you like to take long trips? I don't know. What is a long trip? I was gone for a week with Mexico and that seem like FOREVER. I didn't like that without the boys, but wouldn't have wanted to have the boys away from home that long, that young either.
8. What has been your favorite vacation? The family trip we took to St. Augustine (minus the drama with A. Nan) and Mexico (minus the sx)
9. If you could do it over again would you name your boys something different, if so what? Davis would have a different middle name, maybe even Lee or Gene, although I like his middle name fine. Carter would be something different if I could get away with it this time!!! Maybe even if I could have done Ivan Carter! or if it was Davis Ivan I could have done Smith Wesley Mitchell. Okay, I got it. Davis Wesley Mitchell and Smith Ivan Mitchell...I am done. No...IDK!! (BUT NOT CARTER AND NOT JEFFREY!!)

NO!! I can't think of anything worse that creative or research writing...then the rewrites and critiques! The ONLY way would be a kids book, and then I would want it to be a sticker book, just 'cause those are fun!

Get the papers from Sharon about Davis, cry in their bathroom, then go back out and face her and Sharon. Any of Davis' doctors' appts. Swallow that stuff after my surgery. Leave Mom and Dad for surgery. Breastfeed.

Second year of college, Senior year of high school, Davis' first year, Dating Jason, right now.

Working here and there. Playing with the boys..same ole', same ole'. Getting older..planning Carter's third birthday party.

Davis away from me wouldn't be help. The only way I would "send him away" would be to aid with the BM issue (so he doesn't do long term damage), and I would move our family too.

NO. The only child I even know of to consider this for would be Danae, and I don't think her and Davis are comparable.

Northwest, right now. Church and Home for a lot of it as well.

WELL-BEHAVED....absolutely!
6. Why do you feel necessary to correct things Davis says especially, when no one else notices (and sadly probably thought he was right!)?
The same reason why all parents correct their children or point out things with their child's apperance that others don't notice (ie messy hair, dirty clothes) . Partially habit and partially due to the nature of the child. Davis is a quick learner (and likes to learn!) and as his parent I am going to encourage that....just because others thought he was right doesn't mean he was or that he needs to continue being wrong too. It doesn't bother him, why would it bother anyone else.
7. Do you think Carter will be as smart as Davis?
Academically?? I will be surprised, but it could happen. He is a lot smarter in different areas than Davis.
8. Do you think Carter's personality is better than Mimi's?
Do you? LOL! Yeah, for us..Carter's personality is better. God knows what he is doing when he gave us him! Carter is a perfect fit and addition to our family!
9. Do you think Mom's attitude towards Danae has the greatest impact on Danae's behavior?
I wish it was that easy! I am sure Dad and Mom did too. Danae's behavior is chemical/hormonal/mental/emotional or something. It can't be explained away by something like an attitude towards her or even her being a brat. I know Mom is aware that losing her patience with her doesn't help in a bad situation, but I am aware of that too with my kids...doesn't mean I can always refrain from it. And migoodness, there are a lot of BAD situations with Danae.

11. How would you describe Danae, Davis, Carter and Mimi?
Danae- crazy, sweet, moody, hyper, playboy and girly, likes to dance and sing, can be a helper, very loving at times, then most of the descriptions would deal her "bipolar self" for a lack of better terms...that I would use to describe her to just anybody
Davis- super smart, very sensitive, can entertain himself, picky eater, quick learner, funny, clingy, likes reading and the computer, likes to learn, not a good listener, aggressive
Carter- so fun and funny, likes to play pretend and be read to, tends to be a follower, Momma's boy, likes to help clean, fairly well-behaved, good listener, silly and hyper, compassionate, starting to get whiny
Mimi- busy, strong, fun, independent, strong-willed, not a good listener, sassy, loving and cuddly, likes to dance and explore, climber. play dress-up and pretend
12. What are the major differences in Audrey, Carter, and Mimi... good and bad?
Huh? in their personalities? I am just going to add Audrey in then.
Audrey- is smart, very verbal, clingy to her mom and sassy. Can be very silly, likes to sing and dance and play pretend.
I think one of the big difference between the three is the way they play and respond to discipline. Audrey is the calmest of the players with Miriam at the other end. Audrey and Miriam both want to be the leaders or bosses, but Mimi would eventually go on her own anyway. Audrey SOBS if you even think about disciplining her, Carter usually eventually listens, and Mimi will do want she wants..she might listen or she might ignore ya' or she might turn and tell YOU to quit!! LOL!!
13. Do you want to take the kids to the Zoo soon?
WANT to? Sure! Going to? Probably not. We try to go around Jason's birthday. The aquarium would be a different, fun trip though.

We was going to do that when Davis got green cards all week, so maybe around 3rd grade??? =)

1. Describe a typical day at your house.
There hasn't been a typical day for awhile, but it kinda goes...
I wake up, and get ready then wake Davis up to get in the tub. I get his stuff ready for school, then get Carter ready. I get Danae (or she comes up here) and I drop them off to school. I then would go to Tonya's (to either work or drop off Carter so I can work somewhere else). Or the variation on that is that Jason would drop the boys off after I set out their stuff bc I have already gone to work. I then work either at Tonya's, Mabel's, or Dr. Conner's and then come home. I try to find something for the boys to eat. They run in and out of the house playing. Davis and I talk about whatever papers he has from school. (Carter has started joining in on this...saying that he gets "green cards" now too!!) We get their baths, eat, and then they each get to pick three books. BEDTIME!! On the rare day off, Carter and I spend the day doing random chores and playing. He likes to be read to and show off his toys to me, and be held if I work too much!
2. Do you "entertain" your kids?
Reading to them. Davis and I played more games, but Carter doesn't seem very interested in them yet. He wants to hold the stuff and do what he wants with it! Davis just maintains constant conversation, and Carter just wants to know he can find me to show me whatever he is doing at the time.
3. Do you think a Mother should keep their kids busy or entertained all the time?
I don't guess so. It seems like kids are busy all the time. If kids are saying they are bored, I don't think the moms need to stop what they are doing and play a board game with them! LOL. I do think that if the kid's personality calls for certain things then (and if) the parent can provide it, they should. Such as, if the child is creative...always keeping crayons, coloring books, play-doh, crafts..etc. If they are active..having balls, jumping ropes, outdoorsy things, etc..

Not on purpose! LOL!! If there was a reason to, I guess we would.

No...is there such a thing!? LOL. Just kidding, I've seen the kids that watch too much! There was a time that I thought Davis watch a lot of TV, but he was actively involved with it. Plus he was active and creative. Carter barely watches TV on his own and even with the other kids, he hardly finishes a show. They get outside a lot and do other things more.
6. Do you care how much they watch?
Not so much HOW much right now (only bc I don't think they are watching a lot right now), but WHAT they watch.
7. Do you think your kids play well together?
UH....I think they can sometimes...but they have times when they play horrible together as well.
8. Do you think you are a good at being a SAHM, that is if or when you were?
WHEN I was a SAHM I was fine at it. As good as I am at anything else I guess. Being a Mom is one of those things, that it is hard to say that you are good at...there is always room to improve and it is a hard job. I can say that I loved it! We were busy and happy and content...so it seems like a good indicator.
9. What do you do all day when you are home to entertain yourself?
This. Phone calls. Catch up on chores. Play with Carter.
10. What do you like and dislike about the church you attend?
Like: the history (I taught my first Sunday School lesson, VBS lesson, was married, dedicated both my babies there, etc) my family is there, I like the people that attend, I agree with the principles of their faith--is that the right phrasing?--I like a small church
Dislike: we can be disorganized with projects, in a small church I think people feel freer to comment on your children can be hard, I miss the ones that are gone.
