My name is Katharina and i have a 4 month old daughter that was born with a rare birth mark on her right side of the body of which includes her right chest, back, arm and hand. She was diagnosed with a diffuse venous malformation. These past four months have been a really hard to deal with so im hoping that with this groups we can give each other support, advice through out these hard times. I know myself that when my daugher was born that i was so overwhelmed with everything that was going on. I didn't know how this had happened and no one was able to give me an answer. I was alone dealing with a problem that i had never even heard of before or ever seen. To this day i still can't believe that this has happened. I have learned to deal wtih this situation but still feel like i could of prevented it in a way. I have been told by everyone and anyone that it wasn't my fault but as a mom its a completly other feeling. So im hoping that i will be able to find moms in a similar situation.
