Hey ladies! I always like to get to know people so I thought that since I have a post for all of you to introduce yourselves and tell a little about you, I could make this forum so all of you could get to me and the admins! The group has grown bigger than I ever imagined and sometimes I feel like it can get impersonal so I'm hoping this will help a bit!
So...where to begin? LOL! I'm Kalina! I'm a SAHM to 4 kids, 3 of which are in school. The only one home is my littlest...Noah, he is almost 2.
I am currently in the middle of getting my RN. I have 2 years behind me and 2 years to go! I love babies and would love more than anything to work in labor and delivery!
I also have my degree in interior decorating...huge passion of mine! I actually love anything that has to do with art and design. I don't have any schooling in graphic design though. That was hours and hours of playing around with different programs and experimenting with different tools and effects. I would love to do a little graphic design on the side for some money...lol...that would be great! But just like interior design, it's a hard field to get started in so I'm happy designing for you lovely ladies! And you sure do keep me busy!
Currently, I have 5 awesome admins that help me when I need it. I still try to do most of the requests myself b/c I love doing it so much. But sometimes the requests poor in, like the holiday ones, and I need help! You will know from the tag somewhere on the siggy who has made it. Mine always say somewhere on them 'Tagged by Designkal3'. My admins don't tag their work as of right now but I am going to let them know that they can and should! So everyone knows where all these great graphics come from and each person can get the proper credit due for each graphic that they design!

Hello Kalina! It is nice to hear about you. I have gotten so many siggy's and bg's from you already it is nice to know a little more about you. I think this forum was a great idea. Your babies are beautiful! I am 28 as well and just had my first son...which you have seen from doing a siggy of him. I just wanted to say hello!

Hey Kalina! Just wanna let you know that your designs are awesome! I haven't request any siggy from you lately cuz i'm learning myself. I may not have the Interior Design or any kind of designer background like you but you gave me the inspiration & motiviation to do it! I dunno if i told you that before...yes, you are my inspiration!! Everytime i come in here to see your work...i'm at awe! good thing you have enough designers to help ya out! I remember when you first started and look at you now, girly!! Keep up the good work!!

I've gotten some stuff from you, and it's fabulous...
I wanted to tell you to finish your RN, no matter how long it takes, even if you take one or two classes a semester. I got my BSN two years ago, and was hired as a new grad into Labor & Delivery and I LOVE it... it's awesome and better than I expected. There are some wonderful times, and a few heartbreaking times, but it's amazing, and I wouldn't want to do anything else. I was 31 when I finished school, and 32 when I passed the NCLEX (summer birthday), it took me eight years total, but it was worth EVERY single second of the torture that nursing school is!

Thank you so much for posting more about you!! Your kids are adorable. And definitly get that RN. I have worked as a Unit Seretary in Labor and Delivery for years and love it. there are good days and sometimes sad days but the nurses I work with love it. Not sure about where you live but at my hospital we have a program where Rn students can work as "externs" to work and learn while going to school. In my L and D we take externs but our director wants them to actually work a minimum of 2 yrs on Post Partum to get actual "nursing" experience but maybe where you live they have a program like that and you get your foot in the door?
