 for tick and flea control for dobermans? someone told me if you bathe them in dawn dish soap that kills them but i dont know if i believe that or not. what do u use

We haven't had any problems with fleas or ticks around here so I don't use anything on them, most people use Frontline/Advantage/Advantix but I'd rather not put chemicals on my dog when we don't have any problems yet :) I would try one of those though, or vets have a pill they can take not too, you could ask about that.

I've never heard of using Dawn but that sounds like a bad idea to me... Dish soaps are made to break up and wash away oils, you don't want to use something on your dog that will strip the natural oils from their skin and coat, it's bad for them. Thats why you never want to use any soap or shampoo made ofr humans on a dog. It will dry them out too much.
