hi my name is erin looking for easy budget friendly meal ideas!!!! thank you!!!!
Try this Erin,
Take 1 Cup Brown Rice and One cup Barley rinse together and cook in 4 cups water till all water is almost absorbed.
Then in a large skillet in a couple tablespoons of butter saute 1 large chopped onion till soft then take 12 johnsonville brats & cut them on an angel and add them to the sauted onions. Cook until everything in Pan in is caramelized. Spray a 9x13 pan with olive oil then add a layer of the Barley Rice mixture, then a layer of the onions and brats mixture then more barley rice mixture and then more onions and Brats mixture till everything you cooked is incorporated into the 9x13 pan. Then take 1 80z block of cheese and shred that over the top of the casserole. Bake in a 350 degree oven till everything is bubbly and cheese is nice and golden. Can be served with a Romaine Garden Salad or Dinner Rolls of your choosing.
Enjoy!! This Recipe is my own Creation I've made it many times and It's a winner every time.
Rain Pouches
2 cans refirdgerator biscuts
about 2 slices of ham diced
cheese diced (i use block cheese, so it's about a 1/3 -1/2 of a block)
use a glass glass to roll the biscuts flat. fill with ham and cheese. fold over so it makes a half moon shape and pinch edges or use fork. place on cookie sheet that is covered with tin foil (easy clean up if cheese leaks out) and bake according to directions on the biscuts.
i serve with corn and a fruit.
