Are you afraid of the phone? why?
Talking to someone on the phone is not always comfortable for everyone, especially if you're new. So  here's a tip for the next time you get ready to pick up the phone to call a propect.

1. Grab a mirror, you want to see yourself as you're conversating to make sure you are SMILING and not coming across as a machine or someone reading a script.

2. Posture..Posture- how are you coming across on the phone?  Are you confident like a CEO of your own company or someone who's begging for others to come see what you have.
(Not sure how you sound record yourself and if you sound like a telemarketer, then you know)

3. Tone Of Voice?- Are you coming across strong yet friendly? Is your tone pacing the person you're speaking with. Listnen to your prospect and be sure to pace their tone. Your tone tells the propect you are listning and not just speaking.

4. Listnen- What is your prospect saying? As they will tell you what they really need, but you have to listnen. Listning is not thinking about what to say next or thinking why don't the prospect stop talking so you could. It's allowing your prospect to express to you their needs.

In prospecting know that the person can't see you, but they hear you. They want to know if you believe what you are saying and if you are a Leader they
could follow. So sharpen those  prospecting skills today and get to calling those potential biz partners and customers.
