Women? Moods? Then Try These Foods As Your Remedy!
by Abby_Campbell, www.911BodyResQ.com
As humans, and especially as women, we all go through a range of emotions throughout the month. Sometimes, we even range in mood through a day. Up to 90 percent of women suffer from symptoms of pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS) and 3 to 5 percent suffer from the more severe pre-menstrual dysmorphic disorder (PMDD). If you don't have a monthly cycle that exhibits symptoms of these syndromes, it's most likely due to hormonal imbalances or menopause. This just goes to show why women are the moodier of the two genders! Being a woman, you most likely suffer moodiness on occasion for no apparent reason. I don't think I need to say that we all would like to be "happy" the majority of life. Who doesn't want to feel good both physically and mentally? Yet, we sometimes have a difficult time controlling our emotions. But, what if I told you that you could possibly control a lot of your emotions by the foods you eat?

Stay happy and energized with just a few yummy foods! Foods containing B-12 and folate can help you as they are just two vitamins that have been linked with protection against mood disorders. However, you may greatly benefit from changing up your menus during that time of the month that normally gets you down. Try adding some of these dishes to your meal plan:
Chili made with extra-lean ground beef and kidney beans. The beef will provide you with B-12 while the kidney beans will give you folate.

Salmon with a side of asparagus. B-12 is found in salmon and folate in asparagus.

Chicken burrito with black beans. You'll get a good dose of B-12 from chicken, and the black beans will provide you with folate.

Omelette with spinach. What a great powerful breakfast! Eggs provide you with B-12 while spinach with folate.

Greek yogurt mixed with walnuts and strawberries. Get your B-12 with some yummy Greek yogurt while increasing your supply of folate with walnuts and strawberries.
We can all be happy campers without the use of prescription medications. So, let your FOOD be the ultimate prescription when it comes to health and MOODS!
