At the end of the year many school and colleges throw away half used craft items or things they are buying new the next year. I got my microscope that way. Not that I asked for a micrscope but in calling the college to find out if there were any art supplies, I learned they were getting rid of their microscopes. I think the woman was stunned that within 2 hours she had enough calls to place all her microscopes LOL
