Talk about a big, huge, GIGANTIC sigh of relief! My student workbook for Latin - Latin Fructus Discipuli Workbook (part I) is FINALLY finished!! The teacher edition will take me a few more weeks, so I decided to have a sale on just the student workbook (when the teacher edition is complete I'll sell them in one package, but those who get the student workbook will be offered the teacher edition at a discount separately as well). It's 6 Chapters with 4 'lessons' per chapter so it can be done in 6 months or 1 whole year.

LATIN FRUCTUS DISCIPULI WRKBK CH1 Lesson1 SAMPLE

I can't believe it's finally finished! (and only 135 pages long!)...lol...and it has everything from body parts, to foods, to mythology, to nursery rhymes......my kids can't wait to use it - I'll be using it to teach a class at our co-op this Sept! The teacher wrkbk should be done in a week or so and will include the answer sheets, more worksheets for each lesson, more songs, more crafts, experiments, history projects...just More I guess...LOL...

Thanks for all the encouragement ladies, it was rough going for a while!

As soon as I'm done with the MAGISTRA (teacher's) Workbook I'll be posting videos to my YouTube page, I'll be doing the vocab with the 'Conversation Challenges", also the nursery rhymes/songs -like I re-wrote songs like "My Bonnie Lies Over The Ocean" to have Latin lyrics that relate to a given lesson. Oh, and the translation to the Conversation's are in the Answer Key.

For the "bonnie" song I wrote about Families -

"My MATER is really my mother,
My father is PATER to me,
My brother is sometimes my FRATER,
My SOROR is sister to me.
FAMILIA, FAMILIA,
FAMILIA is family to me, to me;
FAMILIA, FAMILIA,
FAMILIA is special to me!"

I actually thought doing the songs was a little silly, and harder than you would think to write! But my oldest, who is the ultimate-cool-always-aware-of-his-image, has been teaching his favorite songs to all his friends...lol...All the songs but for the actual translated lyrics to Twinkle Twinkle are found in the teacher workbook.

Oh, it's available on my home educators toolbox webpage.

BLESSINGS!

Shannon

Thanks Lynn - I'm just about finished with the Teachers Workbook which is twice as long (mostly because of the dictionary at the back). I'm hoping to have the whole curriculum for sale on Monday.

I am finally finished with the MAGISTRA (teachers) compendium!! It is now with my editor - but the entire curriculum will be for sale on Monday!! I'm so excited. It took way longer than I thought it would to finish the dictionary as Latin has about 1/4 the vocabulary we have for English - they use the same word to mean lots of different things. So, each definition was a whole paragraph! Yeesh! lol. The curriculum is designed for grades K-6th but can definitely be used for any grade level and for multiple students or a single student.

It's a lot of stuff, the curriculum included:

DISCIPULI Workbook (student workbook)

DISCIPULI Answer Key

MAGISTRA Workbook (teachers workbook)

Latin Printables (extra worksheets, a couple of mini-books, grammar charts, etc that you can add to the DISCIPULI workbook for additional resources).

I'll also be posting the songs that are in both workbooks onto my YouTube page. I tried to make a song/poem for each weeks lesson. I've included Roman History, science, math, mythology...it's jammed packed! I'll be using it both at home and at our co-op this semester. These workbooks are designed to be printed and placed in 3 Ring-Binders so it is easy to use for both student and teacher!

They are available at my Teachers Toolbox website.

Thanks for all the support ladies!!

Wow that's freakin' awesome, I had no idea among all of the other wonderful things you also wrote workbooks and teachers editions with!  I'm so going to check out your site, you should advertise more this is the first I've heard you did this, I can imagine others within Happy Homeschoolers and other groups you're a part of would be just as excited as I am.  I know you put a lot of work into what you do, and there are I'm sure others like myself that collect this and that for homeschooling.  In any case, congrats on finishing your Latin workbook, that's no minor accomplishment :-)

Thanks so much!
This is actually the first whole curriculum I've ever done. But, none of the existing curriculums met our needs, especially for my oldest who is a visual learner.

Thanks again!
