We are going to be moving around the middle of May. I'm really stressed about getting everything packed. I have really been doing a horrible job of schooling. We are only doing astronomy, state history notebook, reading, and some math. Do you think it would be bad of me to take a little vacation while we're doing this move and finish up in the summer? Am I being a bad mom if I do that?

All of us need a break every now and then. You know what works best for you and your family. Moving is a big deal. I'd take it easy on the schooling and get the kids involved with the packing and planning. It's ok to not do a full day's work load. Your sanity is key when it comes to homeschooling. We homeschool year round because we tend to take lots of breaks. It's hard to keep a rigid schedule with a teen, a four year old, and a toddler running around! ;)
Don't feel bad for needing to take a break, feel great that you recognize when you need to! :)

Thanks! I really need the encouragement. I'm feeling really anxious lately. I just want to get it over with. I'm still now sure what house we'll be living in and exactly when we're moving. All I can do is pack a few boxes.

During the move, I would take a break. You have enough going on right now. The kids believe it or not will still be learning things during this time even if you don't have the books opened all of the time. You can have math by counting boxes, or counting how many things can fit in a box, stuff like that. You can do all kinds of things like that to still have them learning. Then when you get all moved and settled in, you can open the books back up. That is the joy of homeschooling. It works around you, not you working around it.
