Assalamu alaikum sisters,

alhamduliaah, looking at our group , one can see we have fun posts, we have informational posts, business posts, mom posts, fiqh posts...etc.  so I thought we would add an 'interesting facts " post.

things you come across during studying Islam. that you think are intersting to share. ( not necessarily major information- just intersting, or made you pause)

insha' Allah we will keep this post of benefit. sometimes it is easy to get caught up in things that seem interesting but have no real benefit of knowledge and sometimes imposed facts. like how many the word ."....."  is mentioned in the Quran. ( emails like that go around all the time. many of which are not accurate)

but we can list interesting facts that pertain to our faith, or even to our daily life as Muslimahs or as Moms.

let's see if we can keep this post going? insha' Allah.

Love and salaam (peace)

I guess I will start ( ::gasp::: shocker!!! ) lol

did you know that ........there are about one hundred and twenty four thousand prophets? (124000)  three hundred and fifteen of them are messengers (315) ?

in the hadith narrated of abu thar ( RAA) he asked prophet Muhammad peace be upon him , how many prophets were there? her replied a hundred thousand, and twenty four thousand. messengers among them are three hundred and fifteen "  ( musnad ahmad- authenticated by Al-albaani)

peace and blessings be upon those of them whom we know and those whom we don't

mentioned of them in the Quran: 25 and two from Sunnah.

Love and salaam (peace)

VIP Facts!!! :-)

Prophet Musa- alayhee salaam is the most mentioned Prophet by name in the Quran?? :-)

and that the 4 best women in all of humanity are: Maryam, Mother of Jesus (by the way Prophet Jesus came with the Injeel also known as the Gospels just 600 years before Rasullilah alayhee salaam); Khadijah- first wife of Prophet Muhammad, Assyah- wife of Pharoah (also the one who cared for Prophet Musa as a baby), and Fatimah- Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) youngest daughter.

and that Sarah- the 1st wife of Prophet Ibrahim & mother of Prophet Isaac (who was younger than his 1/2 brother by the way- Prophet Ismail- who built the Kaaba with his father, P. Ibrahim) was considered the most beautiful of all women in the world in her time (Ibn Kathir) both in eman and in physical appearance. I should mention though that it was Hajar (mom of P. Ismail) who was first blessed with ZamZam too! OH, which reminds me of Prophet Yusef who was the most handsome man as well in all of the world in his time..

i pulled these from the top of my head, inshaAllah ill come back with sources to it all (that's if proud doesnt get to the first lolololol..)

may Allah increase all of us with blessed knowledge.

have fun!

The fact that has always been truly amazing to me is how the Quran describes the details of conception right up to birth....and how science has only recently discovered the same information.
