Asalaam Alaikum Warahmat ALLAH Wabarakatu:

Dear sisters, since last night its been thundering, lightening in Madinah on and off. All day today cloudly with the same. We were excited as we usually are when it rains here, BUT here's the thing. We watched the cars outside of Masjid al-Haram in Makkah and there was severe flooding going on with cars dipped in tons of water some of which were up to the windows. The Kaaba today was dripping with water and Hajj Groups who were there were trying to wait until the rain subsides before they make it back to Mina. As you know Mina is called a Tent City. Some tents are more firm, some are not and there is a likelihood of water seaping in them especially because Mina is a low valley, its 9:30 pm and its still raining on and off and we are concerned about Arafah area which many Hujjaj will start soon heading towards. Arafah is set up with less secure tents for the Hujjaj (less secure than in Mina) and usually when they get there, if there is enough time they rest a little before Noon on Arafah. Im sharing this with all you in hopes you makeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee duaa for our brothers and sisters making Hajj. Surely there is Barakah in rain, yet with every Barakah there are tests. Make duaa that Allah facilitates ease for them, grants them patiences, and a Hajj Mabroor for all of them.

May Allah invite/reinvite all of you here soon for Hajj/ Umrah..and may Allah accept your deeds tomorrow on Arafah (remember especially from Duhr-Maghrib). Prophet Muhammad salAllahu alayhee wasalaam when he needed to take even a sip of something he would do so with his right hand and keep his other hand still in the position of duaa!. Two years of forgivenenss for those who fast sincerely- the previous year and the following years worth.

BarakAllah feekum- May Allah bless you and bless our Hujjaj :-) Ameeeeen.

Your sister,

Muhajjirah

jazaaki Allahu khairan sis for your reminders and your duas

I am sad to report that there has been news that forty eight hajjies ( Hujjaj) passed away as a result of the flooding. may Allah make their graves spacious for them. forgive them their sins and grant them Jannah Ameen.

May the rest of the Hujjaj get to their homes safe. may all your loved ones be safe. and may Allah aid the rest of us in fasting this blessed day.

I leave you all , and the entire Muslim Ummah, in the trusted care of Allah.

Love and salaam (peace)
