For real love to be mutual, both people must love Allah with deep respect and should demonstrate those morals that gain Allah’s good pleasure

As Salamu Alaikum Sisters. I just wanted to share an article I read  this morning about the true meaning of love. This article helped me reflect on my own behavior. For example I have four children ,ilHumdililah. Lately i have been just fed up with all the mess they make , fighting and arguing that they do at times (  mostly the two youngest) . I am not motivated and feel overwhelmed.

After reading this article, I feel motivated to teach them the right ways,be more forgiving and  self sacrificing in order to have more harmony in our home.

Being patient, forgiving and self sacrificing are some acts of true love. I pray that Allah reminds me of this and guides my heart .

wa laikum as salaam, sister

that's a nice article thanks for sharing. I like the focus on how we can offer love to all people around us.. the article include one of my favorite ayat, like to quote it to my DH in cards or text messages (smile)

Among His signs is that He created spouses for you of your own kind so that you might find tranquility in them. And He has placed affection and compassion between you. There are certainly signs in that for people who reflect. (Surat ar-Rum, 21)

Jazakallahu khayran for sharing!

Assalam Alaikum Sister,

Thanks so much for posting this article, Alhumdillah. It reminded me so much of a discussion one of the girls from our Youth Group just gave this Saturday. It was very beneficial for me and I passed it on to the girls as well.

As Salaam Alikum

Thank you so much for this article.  I printed it and read it while waiting patiently for the kiddies at the dentist.  There is nothing like good reading
