Salam alaykum wa rahmatAllah wa barakatuh sisters.

I have a question... What is the ruling for fasting for this situation. Due to issues in pregnancy I have been adviced by a muslim obgyn doctor not to fast during my pregnancy. Then after delivery InshaAllah I am planning to breastfeed. Ramadan comes about 3 months after my baby is due. So what happens with the missed week of fasting during last Ramadan ( got prernant right after it). How do I make up for it and when?  And what happens with my fasting for next Ramadan if I am breastfeeding?

Walaykum Salaam. I asked my husband this just now and he says if you can't fast during ramadan then you can make up the fasting after giving the birth. And after pregnancy you can just fast one day and not the other day and do it like that until it's made up.  Just make sure you eat Suhoor on the days you are fasting and you'll be okay.  Try to make up the fasting you missed during last Ramadan BEFORE the next Ramadan.
