What's going on in Syria right now. ( or egypt) . signs of the hour?

Assalamu alaikum dear sisters..

among the signs of the hour, ( minor signs) is when there is so much confusion and killing that the one killed does not know why he died. nor does the one who did the killing know why he killed.. ( the Egyptian massacre at the soccer game comes to mind )

another sign of the hour is when people who were supposed to be keeping the peace, like policemen, or army, are the ones who do the killing of their own people.. Libya, and now Syria of course comes to mind..  those are the men who are supposed to be protecting the rights and lives of the people, and they are the ones who are doing the killing. astaghfirullah.  and those are the ones who will be in Hell with the whips . they are mentioned in the hadith :

AbU Huraira reported Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) having said this: Two are the types of the denizens of Hell whom I did not see: people having flogs like the tails of the ox with them and they would be beating people, and the women who would be dressed but appear to be naked, who would be inclined (to evil) and make their husbands incline towards it. Their heads would be like the humps of the bukht camel inclined to one side. They will not enter Paradise and they would not smell its odour whereas its odour would be smelt from such and such distance. (Book 24, Hadith 5310)

so many of the signs of the hour have come true, as we all know.. the coming of prophet Muhammad peace be upon him was the first sign.. the splitting of the moon, the wars and fitan ( trials) , the fire in Hijaz that would light up the necks of camels. ( which was a huge volcano in the time of imam Nawawi, people in Iraq said that when the light flashed at night all they could see was the necks of their camels. subhana Allah. )  the barefoot shepherds competing in building tall buildings, ...etc. so many of the signs have come true or are coming true.. may Allah guide us and protect us from the fitan. ameen.

may be we should post something about the signs of the hour. ( if we hadn't already, I'd have to check the posts) but like I always tell my students , dont worry about the signs of the hour.. your hour is when  YOU die.. are  YOU ready for it? dont' ask when it is, ask what you have prepared for it. :)

you can tell from all this that it is not going to be 2012 when doomsday comes.. since many of the signs are yet to come. and since some of the signs last for a long time.  may Allah protect us from the fitna ameen.
