considering a third

My husband and I have two children (a 3 yr old and an 23 month old). We are thinking about having a third but are worried about how it would impact the kids. We would love to have another because we love spending time with the kids and think another would just be an added bonus of fun. We like the idea of kids having love and support within the family (they have no cousins and only about 4 extended family members in the area)

However we are concerned about dividing time fairly and how I will be able to ever leave the house by myself during the day with three young ones. Shopping carts are made for only one, or two at the most, I only have two hands to keep everone from running in different directions, and who sits where during story time (there is already competition for my lap)?. Most of all though I worry that someone will feel left out or neglected (for attention). I hear horor storied about middle children being unhappy, overloooked, etc.

Does anyone have any thought, advice, or feedback?

Thanks!
