kingley mcgreggor is a great author. you can try hers. but if u want a great book read CL Wilson books they are great. they arent historical but i couldnt put it down for the life of me. start with lord of the fading lands

Long ago, in the magical holocaust known as the Mage Wars, the immortal Fey and their allies fought to defeat the grasping evil of the Elden Mages and their dark-gifted supporters. During those wars, in a fit of grief-induced madness caused by the death of his mate, Fey shapeshifter Rain Tairen Soul nearly destroyed the world in a blaze of tairen fire.
Now, a thousand years later, the fierce Fey king must fight to save his race from the brink of extinction and once again stop the evil rising in the homeland of his enemies, the Eld. The key to his success lies in the mortal city of Celieria, where the Mage Wars began, and with a young woman whose soul sings to him in ways no woman’s ever has, whose presence reawakens the primal fury of the tairen within his soul, and whose vast, untapped power can either save or destroy him and his people.

Try Julie Garwood and Amanda Quick...I've read almost all of theirs and they are all great.

I love historicals as well. I like Catherine Coulters historical books. She has written many of them. I love Julie Garwood too, with my favorite of hers being The Gift. You may like Jane Feather too, the bride series.

My book is a Historical romance set in 1743 England. Excerpts of it can be read on my journal entries here on Cafemom or on my website www.freewebs.com/lauriesorensen I also posted the back of the book blurb on a post to this group today as well. under the heading "Any one like historicals?"

Either way, you can't lose with any of these author's, they all have great material to read. I hope I was able to help.

Laurie
