im trying to figure out what kind of machine this is, my grandpa found it and let me have it as i was looking into getting a sewing machine, but honestly i know nothing about sewing machines, it had a manual thing with it but its like super faded and cant really see the pictures or read most of it, and i cant seem to find any model numbers or anything other than the good housekeeper badge on the front of it...

Did you check the bottom of the machine? My guess would be the info's located there. Both of my older machines (made in ~1960 and early 70s) have it on a small metal plate at the bottom of the front of the machine, which would be hidden when set into a table or case as yours currently is.

I agree with xtwistedxlovex it would be about 60's 70's, I would look on etsy and ebay for vintage sewing machines from that time and you might happen to come accross it or one similiar enough where you may be able to track the maker from there. Just an idea.
