I have a very spirited 5yo DD and a more layed back 4yo DS. I just ordered the Logic and Love book. I also ordered 1-2-3 Magic. I am at my witts end with my DD. I am really hoping one of these books or using them combined will help bring a more peace to our household.
Check out loveandlogic.com...Choices are always great before their is a problem....ex: if you know every time breakfast rolls around and the child is constantly testing...you might want to say...Do you want cereal or oatmeal?, would like to pour your milk with the measuring cup or do you want mommy to help you?....Do you want to sit here to eat or over there to eat?...etc....The kids secretly feel that they are in control, while we as parent tend to not care what they pick because we are okay with either choice as long as one of those things will happen...it's best to never use sarcasm or angry, which fuels misbehavior...Tawanda
