My 4 year old son is obsessed with knives. He has taken them from the kitchen many times and hid them in his room. My 2 year old daughter has ran out of his room holding a chopping knife. It scares me to death. It doesn't matter where I put them he always finds them. I have explained in a very stern way that they are dangerous and what can happen if he plays with them but it is not registering with him. He talks about knives all the time, even in conversation that has nothing to do with knives! I need help!
We moved to a different state 6 months ago. Maybe that could be it? I have thought about taking him to a behavioral therapist. I just keep justifying that he's fine, but each time he happens I freak out. I visited the love and logic website and I sent them a message also.
