Box Cakes

I use box cakes to make my cake because it is so much easier. I don't alter it in any way. Do you add or substitute any of the ingredients? I want to make my cakes more fluffier is this possible. Someone told me to add more eggs? I am just not sure how to do this. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Are you in an area that is considered high altitude?

No I was just told different ways to alter a box cake that would make it better. And was curious if other bakers did this?

I like to leave it as is ... I will add jello to white cake mix to add flavor and color to a cake (raspberry is my fav)

For mine, I use milk instead of water, butter instead of oil, one extra egg, and add a box of instant pudding mix. They usually come out a little bigger, firmer, and moister.

Some also put a cup of sour cream if not doing a pudding, especially in choc and red velvet.

I LOVE this idea! My daughter's birthday is coming up in a few weeks and I was trying to think of some unique "fruity, kid friendly flavor". This is the PERFECT solution! Do you use a small or a large box (or some other quantity) per box mix?
