The Cafe Mom Online Cookbook
Hello ladies, I'm wanting a chicken salad recipe.
I don't eat onions, so it would have to be without those....oh and peppers..
Yes, I'm picky and thanks to all that help!

by ssilykids on Sep. 2, 2008 at 12:00 PMI have a wonderful Chicken salad recipe I put red onions in it, but you could leave them out. I use canned chicken usually, but you can use left over if you have it It is 24 oz of chicken 1/2 cup of mayo 1/2 cup of sour cream 1/2 cup of sliced green seedless grapes 1/2 cup of diced apples ( we prefer granny smith's it adds a tartness that we enjoy) 1/4 cup chopped pecans This recipe is quick and easy and delightful to taste. Hope this helps |

by SweetLuci on Sep. 3, 2008 at 9:50 AMHere are three that I like, The first is really no recipe, just kinda throw together. On the other two, the maple syrup really makes a difference. People always compliment the flavor, but never guess what it is. It add just a tiny bit of sweetness and a flavor they can't guess. I dice up leftover chicken or sauté a couple of chicken breasts if I don't have leftovers or sometimes I buy a rotisserie chicken for this. I dice up some celery, a little pickle relish and some mayonnaise and a little mustard. The seasoning I use is either poultry seasoning or sage, and a little Lawrey's seasoned salt
Combine all ingredients; chill. |

by Whittington5 on Sep. 26, 2008 at 12:11 PMI use this as a snack for the kids... I use canned chicken, drain, starting with about a 1/2 cup of real mayo and a half a cup of ranch dressing I mix them together. I then add a very generous helping of Mrs. Dash. I serve it on club crackers. You can add in things like onion, celery, black olives, grapes whatever you like.
