Sorry that I've been neglecting the group lately. It's been hard since I lost my job this summer. I thought I had a pretty good plan of sending my resume to publishers all around the country that fit by background experience. I figure if they'd hire me, then I'd HAVE to continue working from home, lol! But I've just gotten a lot of feedback that they're extremely impressed with my credentials but don't have any openings, yadda-yadda. But at least they ARE responding--the actual jobs I'm applying to they must have SO many applicants, that I'm not even hearing back from them!
I know some of us work for companies and others work more on a contract or freelance basis. How are you ladies doing? Is the economy affecting your WAHM status?
This summer was slower, but typically is. It is bad for me to say this but the H1N1 fear is keeping me busy. Where it has the same symptoms as upper respiratory so many people are going to the dr. to get checked out, which provides me more work to do.
Sorry to hear that, Jen. I'm sending out good give-you-a-job vibes into the universe!
Our company had to lay off a lot of folks (although thankfully I wasn't one of them --so far, anyway!!)...we really need more people badly but the company can't afford it. I've been there 9 years though, and they always bounce back! So hopefully it'll be the same this time.
Come check out my groups!

Hey Jen,
The economy hasn't hurt my business at all, in fact I am busier than ever. Alot of people are staying home now to cut back on costs. Women love to get together for Girls Nights Out and what better way to do that and spice things up in the bedroom than to have a Slumber Party. :) Not to mention the tax write offs I enjoy every year.
HTH,
Tonia
