Ok, so I have decided that I want to try cloth diapers and am really excited about it but so confused! There are so many choices out there! I think I want to try the AIO diapers but am also considering the pocket diapers. . . in your oppinions which are better? Which diapers do you reccomend? I will take any and all information you can give me!!! Thanks!

Hello Mama!
Welcome to cloth diapering. This is an excellent choice as it will help save money and help our environment at the same time. Personally I am a pocket mommy! That is all I have. I know that the all in ones are probably easier, but I like the pockets because they can be taken apart and dont hold odor as easy although other mommies may have suggestions on keeping the stink out of the all in ones.
When you decide and if you are interested in pocket diapers I hand make diapers and can custom make them for you according to color and either velcro or snaps according to what you would like
I hope you enjoy cloth diapering as much as I do!
when i was just getting started i new i would like the aio or pocket too so i bought some to compare. although the aio seem easier i feel like what i have just never fit right and they took longer to dry. i LOVE my pockets!! i love that i can take them apart and add as much as i want plus they dry faster which when u have a small stash at first u need them to dry faster haha. if u have a questions at all please pm me. i also make pocket diapers so if u wanna test any out let me know.

Im a pocket mommy too- I used fuzzi bunz and bum genius- I have parted with most of the bum genius b/c of the velcro- it doesnt hold up very well- I cannot see it lasting 3 years. All in ones seem easier but take longer to dry. To me to stuff the pockets take 5 minutes for all of my diapers and I can mix up the inserts and double them, with the all in ones im stuck with it the way it is or have to dbl up on my babys skin- this is all my own opinion and there are up swings- Im sure you'll get some more info!! Also ask around look on here- these mommas make some great dipes and buying used dipes are fine too- I bought all of mine new and have since bought some used and they are fine save some more money.
maybe purchase or if you sew, try one of each to see what you like. i personally didnt understand why you would cover a cute fitted dipe. but hey thats what i ended up liking and honestly at home half the time i dont use a cover. i also love aio and ai2's and prefolds and covers. pretty much everything besides pockets i like. ; )
after quite a bit of experimenting, mostly with my own designs, i've settled on prefolds/countours and pockets and AIOs (got bumgenius used and in great condition). i also sort of prefer pockets, though having a few AIOs is nice, too. i got the organic cotton ones (at a GREAT deal) and don't have any stink problems with them. my suggestion would also be to try a few of each. see if you can find them used here or on craigslist. that way you can see what you like.
bumgenius just came out with two new diapers: one-size covers with different kinds of inserts. if i didn't have a good stash already, i'd get some. you can get the econobum pack (3 covers and 12 prefolds) for under $50, or you can buy one cover and a few inserts if you just want to try them out. (www.cottonbabies.com). but that's a great deal, i think, and i LOVE BGs...
anyway... and some mommas on her make some great diapers, too. try out a bunch and good luck!!
