How to Stop Procrastination

There is always a list a mile long of things that you need to do everyday. If you are like most people, procrastination is one of the biggest hurdles that you need to get over to get anything done. Procrastinating is the thing that is preventing you from achieving the goals that you have set for yourself. Just like any bad habit, you need to stop procrastination in its tracks.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

    Get yourself a daily planner. You can choose to get a daily planner that you carrying with you, or you can use an electronic one like Google calendar. The important piece is to have something that will give you a way to stop procrastination. You will need the day planner that you choose to have enough room to list the activities that you need to do each day.

  2. Step 2

    Each night before you go to bed, set up the day sheet for the coming day. To stop procrastinating it is important to take action before to be ready for your day. By laying out the day ahead of you, you will have a clear vision of the things that you need to get done that day.

  3. Step 3

    List all of the activities that you need to accomplish that day. Leave a space next to each one to check them off when they are accomplished. One of the keys to stopping procrastination is to hold yourself accountable for the things that need to be done.

  4. Step 4

    Go through your day and do the things that you have listed in your day planner. Refer to your day planner often during your day to make sure that you are on track to accomplish. By keeping track of what you have done and what is still left to do, you will be less likely to procrastinate on these items.

  5. Step 5

    Sit down at the end of the day and review your day planner. Be proud of all of the things that you have accomplished. Get ready to start the cycle all over again.

I'm still working on this. I have a calendar but I don't make it very useful when I should.
