What's keeping you from making your dream?

So many times we think that it is someone else "out there" that is keeping us from our dream.  But when we finally realize that we are the ones that we've been waiting for....that we are our own dream maker, then we get on to the business of making our dream's come true.

Our Deepest Fear

by Marianne Williamson from A Return To Love: Reflections on the Principles of A Course in Miracles

"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."

One of the main things that keeps me from my dream is shyness. I am afraid sometimes to approach people or advertise my business. I guess I am afraid of rejection or looking silly. Also, money has a small part to do with it as well. I haven't been able to grow my business as fast as I wanted to and I had to wait to get certain things I needed to help my business grow.

What keeping me from my goals is that I 'm afraid to fail but in not trying I have seen that I have failed.  I have failed my family because i was afraid of Success.  If that makes any sense.  I know what I am capable of doing and I hold myself back.  So in seeing this I have deceided to take the bulls by the horn and be that person God knows I can be and I know I can be.

I feel that I get distracted by my circumstances and that's what I focus instead of revising my plan or just staying focus on school. I just need to make sure that all is taken care of before I start the program. All circumstances are handled and will not effect me so I won't become distracted by them.

Right now my deepest fear is in with my ex and his girlfriend so I can't enjoy moving to Florida knowing I would be living with them and isolated.  SO I feel like none of my dreams would be able to come true living like that.

I'm learning a valuable lesson. Life is only what we chose make of it. Our dreams are the things that we are most passionate about, the things that really drive us. Yet, we have our circumstances or struggles of life that conflict with these dreams. And make these dreams seem like there impossible to reach. I've learned that if I have all my focus on my problems, circumstances, or trials I lose focus from my dreams. I will not be able to move forward with steps to achieve them. There is a great sacrifice in great success. There are people who have been in difficult situations; but they kept there eyes on the prize (their dreams). Once they achieved their dreams they move past their problems. There problems are no longer able to hold them. So I'm learning to not worry about my circumstances, but focus on my dreams. In the past, I would make steps to a goal; but then had to stop due to circumstances. I took my focus off my dreams and put them on my circumstances. Then ended up with shattered dreams that remain unfulfilled. Problems and trials will always be apart of life. We just have to learn how to deal with them effectively and not let them stand in the way of our dreams. So as far as me, as long as no one is in harm or dying my dreams will be one of my top priorities. I have to stay focus to make my dreams come true!
