Let's share stories, any & all to make you laugh or cry! Every child on the spectrum is different & yet so many of the same traits. Dig up those "Only my Kid" stories and let's have some fun.

I'll Start
When you discover most plastic toys in the toy box are half eaten.
When you move your throw rug from one door to another, it some how gets put back where it was.
When all you eat sleep & breath is TOY STORY! but prefers the commercials more than the movie.
When your child lines us his barrel of blue monkeys for the 5th time in a row, then runs to tell you the monkeys are in trouble, because one is not lined up perfect.
When you go to light your fireplace with your long stem match & the heads have all been eaten.
When your Child craps a rock, gets up to count how many, because he knows how many he swallowed.
When you get your diamond cross necklace out of the Jewery box & realize you have to wait to wear it until your Child has his next BM, because the cross is missing.

MamaRita,
I sent you a message, I'm trying to get a hold of you.
I have a 9 yr. old boy with with Aspergers.
When you are trying to get ready and I can never find the hair spray he loves to use it to shine all of his cars, then the can is empty.. When you have to keep all the lights in the house off. Or when you try to get him to wear a nice shirt and shorts you just bought and he hates it.. When you buy something they like always make sure to buy at least 4 of everything just in case one breaks so you always have a back up. When he want ssomething and he repeats it over and over and over. .. Praying when we run out of Washable Markers that the store is going to have them , driving to 4 different stores to find the markers that has the one pen that he loves the most lemond yellow orange ?? have extra keys hiding outside for when he lock me out...

When there are locks on anything and everything that opens!!
When you go on ebay and buy a bulk of the same item so you will always have 1 when 1 gets lost!!
When you start signing to strangers as you talk..."please" "thank you" "more".
When you carry around ear phones to all "loud to semi-loud" events.
Jamie

When you walk in McDonald's to get your child chicken nuggets & french fries, he picks up a french fry (from some stranger's plate) as he is walking by.
When your 10 year old will only watch Toy Story & Teletubbies.
When your 10 year old kisses the TV screen to kiss each & every Teletubbies.

When you never know what your going to find in the toilet.

OMG! Boy this one hit the nail on the head. Last Christmas I bought a whole case of the Barrel of Monkeys! This is about the only thing he really loves to play with. He lines them up in a perfect row, then grabs them into a small pile & starts all over. He likes to keep one in his hand while doing anything, he also like to eat their arm & legs. He hides them all over the house & I was constantly buying more.
Wal-mart price on a single barrel of Monkeys is a little over $5.00 & you only get a handful, so I found this company on EBay & fixed him up.

when you have locks on both sides of you doors. lol
