We know moms are making great things with their computers.

Share your latest projects on this thread!

Some moms use their computer for work. Some use it for play. Which mom are you? Do you mostly make lists, budgets, schedules and planners? Or do you mostly make flyers, invitations, scrapbooks, and letters to friends and family?  Tell us how you spend your time?

  • About a few weeks ago, my hubby couldn't find this one movie or a book he really wanted to read. I've been getting so sick and tired of not finding them so I made up a movie or book list. So, that way if we let someone borrow the movie/book we know who has it and when they brought it home. Until I made that list I didn't know how many movies we really had. I found out that we have over 275 movies. I need to have a grage sale. :)

  • Lol, I just seen the banner to the side and it says, "A PC without Office 2007 is like a box without a present." well, I guess my little PC is just a box. :)

I use my PC for so much. I obviously use it to communicate with the world. But, more than that, I use my PC to show the progress that she's made in school this year. We keep a chart of everything that she's learned, how quickly. She then is able to see the progress, and understand that she is learning, she is getting smarter.

I use my pc for coupons! Anyone that knows me knows that I am a big coupon shopper. I use my pc to find the coupons that I need and want.

Most recently, I have started using my pc to keep track of our budget.  I know, many people have been doing that for a while, but, I wanted dh to be able to see how much I really do save this family. Since I've been listing it all and keeping track, he no longer bugs me about my "me time" aka coupon clipping and organizing.

I've also recently started keeping track of what I eat and how much. Along with my daily calorie, fat and carb intake. I also use sparkpeople.com for that as well.

Being the Head Room Mother for dd's class, I'm in charge of making the flyers that go home with the students in her class.  I'm actually in the process of working on their flyers for their Graduation party (Keep in mind, they are Kindergarten students) at school.

I just finished (about a week ago) the ads/displays for the 2nd annual kids 10 and under fishing derby that will take place next month.

Over the past year, when neighbors need garage sale signs, they come here so that I can help them.

I've started printing out edible images for the cakes that I do.

I use my pc to store my recipes. The kids play games. And when dh needs a part for his SUV, typically, I find it online at a cheaper price than in stores.

The list really does go on and on.....

Our pc....don't think we can live without it anymore!!!

  • I've been making  chore charts, and I make the chore with a picture, so that our son with autism can understand. He loves schedules, so that works really well!

  • Lately I've been using MS Word for my homework assignments.  I love that I can play with all the different formatting options and if I decide I like one better than another one, I can just go back and select the one I liked.

  • I use my computer a LOT, mostly for home organization. I have all of my pictures on my computer (with back ups of course), I also have recipes that I have organized, birthdays/anniversaries and telephone numbers. It's so much easier than an actual address book, because when someone moves, you don't have to go out and buy a new one.

I am a redheaded, stubborn, country girl type who loves her Ohio State Buckeyes and Pittsburgh Steelers. I am a devoted wife and mother and a SAHM.  I talk a lot, have a quick temper, collect cookbooks, had a baby before marriage, believe in CIO, vaccinate, bottle fed, use disposable diapers and spank when necessary. I spoil my children, love them unconditionally and I am highly opinionated. I believe in gay marriage but not abortion and have a serious case of potty mouth. Now that we have that much out of the way, it's nice to meet you.
