Pauley Perrette spent most part of her growing years in moving and living at several places such as Alabama, Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, New Jersey, New York and Los Angeles. Perrette who hated high school has surprisingly graduated with straight 'A's in criminal science, sociology and psychology from Valdosta State University, Valdosta in Georgia. After quitting grad school, Pauley Perrette moved to New York City and began working as a bartender. She worked in many bars in Manhattan including the 'Bitter End', the famous rock club.
It was while working at such a bar, Pauley found out from a coat-checking kid that a certain director who was looking for new faces was interested to cast her in his projects. So off she went to his office the next day wearing "my white Mohawk, shorts and knee-high Dr. Martens", Pauley recalls, "This director put me in music videos, commercials and short films. I did the "Secret" video with Madonna and "Killer" with George Michael." She has appeared in a Volkswagen Golf commercial for Volkswagen of America.
That was the beginning of Pauley Perrette's foray into television, films, and music videos. Perrette later headed to Los Angeles looking for greener pastures in acting.
Pauley Perrette made her television debut with a single episodic play "ABC After school Specials" in 1994. She has since appeared in several television shows, sitcoms, big-screen movies and made-for-television films. Pauley has had recurring roles in "Murder One" [10 episodes: 1996-1997], "The Drew Carey Show" [4 episodes: 1998], "Time of Your Life" [21 episodes: 1999-2001], "Dawson's Creek" [2 episodes: 2001]. It was in 2003 that Pauley Perrette got the biggest role of her career. She played Abby Sciuto, the forensic expert in a popular television series, "Navy NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service" [135 episodes: 2003-2008]. The "NCIS" was a spin-off of "JAG" [2 episodes: 2003] in which she played the same role, Abby Sciuto. Perrette visited the actual NCIS offices in September 2005 accompanied by an Entertainment Tonight camera crew. Pauley later appeared in "The Price of Kissing" , "Almost Famous" , "The Ring" , "Hungry Hearts" , and "A Moment of Grace"  and so on.
Pauley Perrette married Canadian-born actor and singer, Coyote Shivers on October 20th, 2000. After three years of marital life, Pauley got separated from her husband Coyote Shivers in 2003. She finally got divorced on February 1st 2006. Perrette later dated camera operator, Michael Bosman who she met in mid-2003 soon after separating from Coyote Shivers.
Pauley Perrette is also a writer, poet, photographer, voice-over artist, and a producer. She produced a documentary film on U.S. civil rights attorney and author Mark Lane. She was also the lead singer in the all-female band "Lo-Ball".
