Has anyone made cloth diapers before or made covers? I was thinking about crochet some covers (i figure if you can knit them then you can crochet them too.) Dust i don't really have a clue as to how to do any of this. we had bought some pocket diapers and we like them but well the covers are not really holding up to well anymore. so we are looking to make some diapers and stuff for the baby since don't have the money to add buy anymore. well we don't have the money to buy any material for them either so we are going to have to use what i have just hanging around the house. and would any information i can find out it.

I have not made them, but I do have a pattern on my computer someone gave me at one time lol.  It's for material though.  I don't knit or crochet so, can't help you there, sorry.

I haven't made any since my husaband determined cost of materials/labor isn't cost effective. I've heard of people using old sweaters for the absorbant part but cover material is harder. I cut up clothes and stuff from Goodwill all the time it might make a good way to get materials.

Also there are tons of used diapers for sale online and at yard sales. A friends sold us her entire newborn stash for $5! at a garage sale.
