It's
time to watch the clearance racks for those cheap modest clothes!!! I
found some long, knit, tiered prairie style skirts at Wal-mart for $5
today. You have to really look though, they hide them all in with the
pants and dresses. If your crafty you can take some of the cheap
dresses and make them into a skirt too. Last year I found some really
great deals on the clearance racks, $3 skirts, that I wear ALL the
time. They didn't have my size, so I got what they did have and made
them smaller. It was still cheaper than buying material and making them
new!! Just keep checking back and you might be surprised at what you
find! This one is to big, and long enough for me to pull up to my arm
pits and make a jumper lol. If only I needed a maternity dress.. I'm
going to take the sides in and shorten it :)

Until I saw your post it never dawned on me to just take me clothes in... I just started a diet this week ( that I am failing at miserable since my birthday is tomorrow and everyone is wanting to take me to lunch or dinner!) and one of my hold ups is that we can't just go out and buy me all new clothes if I lose alot of weight... But I am pretty good with the sewing machine..
Thanks for posting... This definately reasures me!!
Well I'm glad I could help lol. That's what I do for a living, alterations.. Done a few wardrobes for people who lost weight. If you have questions, feel free to ask, I might even be able to get pictures while I'm fixing the same issue lol.
You can do it!! You'll do a great job and look great too!! And that's a great feeling LOL!
