When the neighbor kids are acting badly, do you correct them, send them home, or just ignore it?

Do a lot of neighborhood kids come and go to your house in summer?

I give them 1 warning and if they keep misbehaving, I send them home.  It's not my job to correct everyone else's kid and if they can't behave according to my rules - they can go home and not come back for the rest of the day.  I hate feeling like a free babysitter.

They can come over to play for a while and I will correct them if they are doing something they shouldn't. The neighbor girl likes to pick up our dog and I don't like the kids doing it.  There are a few other things too that I will stop them from doing. Mostly saftey issues.

There aren't a lot of neighborhood kids my son's age.  There are two about a block away, and they're extremely polite.  So no issue there.

Yes, there are many kids who go house to house hanging out. I discipline them and I expect others to discipline mine if he is misbehaving in their house. Its an unwritten rule in our neighborhood. "It Takes A Village to Raise a Child".

We used to always have extra children around. I would correct them firmly- never had to send any home.

the kids come over to play in my yard because mine is the only one with a little bit of grass. I give them some rules (such as no hitting each other or doing anything dangerous with an adult) and if they don't follow them I'll take them home and explain to their moms what happened and why I was bringing them home. I don't have too much trouble with this since the moms around here know that I won't correct their kids unless I catch them doing something that could hurt either them or another kid.
