Here's the big story here right now:
http://www.connectmidmissouri.com/news/story.aspx?id=716157 I remember when this happened and actually had this girl in a class when I subbed. Crazy. And so sad. It actually made national news/and on Nancy Grace when it happened.
the avs beat the blackhawks 5-2
and some northern colorado police have license plate scanners
When I was living in the orphanage as a kid, there was a horribly beaten little girl there. She was there with me for a year before she was sent home with her mother. Two weeks later, (on the day of my best friend's funeral) they sat us down and told us she'd drowned accidentally in the bathtub. She was 22 months.
7 years later, her mother Theresa Hayes was charged with homicide. She'd left the baby in the car during an Arizona summer to go inside an apartment and do meth with her boyfriend. Allanah died of exposure and dehydration.
And, to top it all off, she only had to serve a year in jail. Absolutely breaks my heart. That little girl was such a sweetheart.
This is the biggest news for us right now.

There is lots being said about this case, it's just crazy. She had a lot of supporters that were blindsided when she pled guilty. Some thing her BIL had something to do with it. My mother things she did it because he wanted her to. His wife (her mother) and just died and he told several people that he didn't want to live without her. Who knows. Such a sad story no matter how you look at it.

A drunk college kid killed his on-again-off-again girlfriend. How sad to lives over before they really had a chance to live.
