Yes, I vaccinate on schedule. I am a preschool teacher so I am in constant contact with germs. Anything that is going around my school, my husband gets, and he is NEVER at my school. That is proof to me how easy germs travel. You just never know what you could come into contact with. One of my students could come into contact with something then bring it to school, then I could bring it home. It's just not worth the risk. And even if I wasn't a preschool teacher and chose to homeschool my kids, I would still be exposed to germs no matter where I went, so unless I live a completely self sustainable life on my own property, my family will be exposed to germs. Plus, once my kid grows up, I want him to go to college..that's a whole lotta people packed into close quarters. I couldn't live with myself if he caught something I had every possible chance to prevent. Lastly, the reason these diseases have been controlled is due to children being vaccinated. This is not a reason to stop vaccinating....now that it's becoming more common to not vaccinate these dieases are returning. Yes, I know there are risks, but for me the risks are minimal compared to the dieases they prevent. And, there is NO connection between vaccines and autism. The dr who started that whole scare has had his license revoked and all his studies and journal reports have been retracted due to false information. So that is no longer a valid reason to not vaccinate.
