My oldest is just going into the 5th grade. I imagine helping them gets harder as the get older. We don't have to deal with ADD, but I have a BIL who has ADD.

Good luck my DD is heading to Middle School she is not ADD but all you can do is the best you can.

Is it their school work you are looking to help them with or their behavoir or both?  If it is their school work maybe you can look into an after school tutor in the subjects they struggle with that you don't feel comfortable helping with.  If it is behavior then with their diagnosis I think you can get an IEP to have the teachers and you come up with a plan for behavior in the school setting.

Great answer. You certainly should have an iep, and special help at school. The only thing I might add is checking into a behavior analyst to help you at home,
