My Dd(10) went to a classmates party at a local skate rink. There had to be at least 50 kids there for her party. It was a private event just for her. We were the only one to bring a present. I didn't see any where on the invite about no presents. So my question is.. is this normal?? Odd?? Custom for some communities??
We moved here at the beginning of the school year from another state so this is the first non family party. I have never seen this before where we are from. So I'm curious.

That is weird. Maybe the parents told the other people or had written it on invites, but overlooked writing it on yours?

I don't think so. I would've brought a present too. hmm that's strange.
