How did you pick your child's name(s).

Nicolas Edward named after my 2 fave actors Nicolas Cage and Edward Norton.

Ha ha , my daughter isn't named "after" her, but I fell in love with the name Kyra after watching The Closer with Kyra Sedgwick.

  I have always loved the name Amy so the day I found out I was pregnant, I knew she was Amy.  I named Larissa after me and my sisters.  We are Lynn, Laura, Lisa and Linda.  Her middle name is Lynn.  Brantlon was after the charactor Brantley from the  movie "The Secret of My Success " starring Micheal J Fox.  I didnt like Brantley and kept playing around with it and came up with Brantlon.

My 1st son has his great grandpa's middle name William. His first name is Bryce, that is just a name we agreed on. My 2nd son has his daddy's middle name Sean. His first name is Keegan and we decided on that because Sean Bryce and Keegan are all celtic names. We wanted them to all have something in common.

my daughter name is Chloe Elizabeth i actually planned that name if i had a daughter long before i even found out i was pregnant. my husband agreed with the name and his mom name is elizabeth and his sister middle name is elizabeth so it worked out we had no arguments or any decision of than that . so i got to use chloe the name i always loved!

Andrew Brian - Just loved the name Andrew and Brian is dh's name

Luke Thomas - Just loved the name Luke and Thomas is dh's middle name and FIL's first name

Marley Michele - I first heard the name Marley from a character on my soap opera (Another World) and loved it and Michele is my middle name

Aaron William - Loved the name Aaron and William is my Dad's name

After these children I thought we were done but.......

William Preston - Couldn't find any names I wanted for another boy so named this son after my Dad and Preston is my FIL's middle name.

#1 Frisko James Jacob

     Frisko after JAck Wagner's character Frisco Jones on GH.  Spelled with a 'k' because I liked the way it looked better.  James Jacob cause we couldn't decide between the two.

#2 Mandalynne Alicia

     Mandalynne was a compromise.  I wanted Mandy which dad hated, he wanted Amanda which I hate.  So he suggested Manda, to close t Amanda for me so we added Dad's first name (cause he'd like a kid named after him and I hate that) to get Mandalynn then added the 'e' cause it looks prettier,  Alicia was  the middle name of a character on GH or OLTL, but I forget who.

#3 Robert Sean Donnelly

    Robert for the charater Rbert Scorpio on GH.  Sean Donnelly after same named character on GH

#4 Cordero Paul Ralph

     Cordero after character Cordero (Cord) Rberts on OLTL.  Paul my bio dad, Ralph after daddy's father

#5 Jericho Leonardo

     Jericho daddy chose because he wanted a Native American name.  Leonardo for Leo and after Leonardo DaVinci.

I like names that were not common. Adrianna Nicole, Paige Mackenzie (her dad picked it, not one of my choices) Jacy Mikayla, and Tessa Audrey 

 

My mom named me and my sister off days of our lives, Marlena and Billie

I named my son after Denzel Washington.  The reasons why I chose Denzel, it's not a frequently heard name, except for the actor.  I also chose that name because of a biography I once watched when I was 3 months pregnant with my son and after that, it was the only name that stood out for me.  I also gave him his father's name, Brian, and my grandfather's name, Lotfi, God rest his soul.
